Music

I grew up singing, playing the piano, the saxophone, and then the guitar. Music is who I am at the center. Its how I can best create, best express, and best speak. I am probably most comfortable behind a microphone & my guitar and with a good song. While you’ll find me most Sunday mornings on the stage with my Telecaster, playing with the Harbor worship band at Belin United Methodist in Murrells Inlet, SC, I also tone things down a bit for weddings and events.

I play finger style and classical solo guitar and have played a mix of classical and modern pieces including…
Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)

Minuet in G (Bach)

Prince of Denmark’s March (Clarke)

Processional (William Ackerman)

Bensusan (Michael Hedges)

Spindrift (Al Pettaway)

If you hear me during a reception or cocktail hour, I’ll most likely be covering a mix of Van Morrison, Jack Johnson, Fleetwood Mac, Dave Matthews, The Eagles, James Taylor, Amos Lee, etc…I’m sure you get the idea. I’ve got a few samples over on the right hand side of this page from Soundcloud. I also recorded a collection of original tunes, and old (pre mid-1800’s) hymns to which I re-wrote the music. Its a very basic: one guitar, one voice album and its free! Give them a listen. Send me a note or give me a call if you’re interested in hiring me for your wedding or event.
